Barbara H. Bowman The Distinguished Texas Geneticist Award was established
in 1982. This award is given to recognize outstanding
contributions to genetics in Texas. In 1996 this award
was renamed the Barbara Bowman Awards in honor one of
the founders of the Texas Genetics Society.
